The Story in 60 Seconds

Nottingham Forest have received an improved permanent transfer bid from Vasco da Gama for left-back Cuiabano. According to Brazilian journalist Lucas Pedrosa, the Rio de Janeiro club submitted an offer of around €7m (£6.1m), following earlier reports of a prepared €5m (£4.4m) bid.

The 23-year-old defender is currently on loan at Vasco da Gama and wants to remain in Brazil rather than return to England. Forest must now decide whether to accept the reduced proposal, which sits below the €10m (£8.7m) purchase option previously agreed between the two clubs.
