The Story in 60 Seconds

Buffalo Bills On SI writer John Green argues that the Buffalo Bills' dominant Week 8 defensive display against the Baltimore Ravens may be misleading. Although coordinator Jim Leonhard's defense held Baltimore to 10 points in the win at Highmark Stadium, Green attributes much of that success to Baltimore losing both Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley to early injuries, which forced undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano into his NFL debut.

Fagnano completed just 47.6% of his passes for 91 yards with one interception, three sacks, and a lost fumble. While Buffalo successfully contained Derrick Henry to 60 total yards and held Zay Flowers without a catch, Green cautions fans that upcoming games against Minnesota, the New York Jets, and Miami will test whether the turnaround is genuine ahead of a Thanksgiving showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
