As JJ Gabriel closes in on a switch to Real Madrid, Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs has made a passionate Max Dowman plea to the youngster.

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has urged 16-year-old prospect JJ Gabriel to remain patient and stay at the club, comparing his career path to Arsenal youngster Max Dowman. Giggs spoke out on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast amid reports that Gabriel is on the verge of completing a permanent transfer to Real Madrid.
Gabriel requested to leave Manchester United in September and has not trained with the team since, pursuing immediate first-team football. Journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that Gabriel reached a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid on a permanent move planned for January 1, with United receiving only training compensation.
