Doc Rivers sounds off on what it was like to coach Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers criticized Giannis Antetokounmpo during an appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, questioning the star's basketball IQ and execution. Rivers stated that coaching Antetokounmpo is not easy because of his downhill pace and tendency to force plays rather than executing properly.
Rivers stepped down as Bucks head coach in 2026 after failing to advance past the first round of the playoffs and now works as an NBA game analyst for NBC Sports. Antetokounmpo has since joined the Miami Heat, who started his first season there with a 3-6 record.
