The two front-row enforcers tangled when South Sydney and the Roosters met in round 27. On Sunday, they go head to head in the World Cup semi-final.
Keaon Koloamatangi and Spencer Leniu are set to face off in the Rugby League World Cup semi-final between Australia and Samoa on Sunday. Both players are expected to come off the interchange bench midway through the first half in front of a sellout crowd of more than 40,000 spectators at Allianz Stadium.
The matchup follows a heated regular-season altercation in round 27 between South Sydney and the Sydney Roosters, where Leniu challenged Koloamatangi. Koloamatangi emphasized putting the team first to avoid penalties, while Samoa coach Ben Gardiner expressed confidence that Leniu can channel his passion effectively.
