Aiyuk's return to San Francisco will hopefully resolve a year-long saga.
Brandon Aiyuk is scheduled to return to the San Francisco 49ers' facility on Friday afternoon as he seeks reinstatement to the NFL. According to reports, the wide receiver has filed paperwork to return from the reserve/left squad list and is reportedly discussing the forfeiture of a $13 million bonus.
Aiyuk has not played in an NFL game since suffering a severe knee injury in 2024 against the Kansas City Chiefs. His new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed the paperwork submission and stated that Aiyuk will arrive at the team facility at 3 p.m. on Friday, forcing the 49ers to address his future.
