Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made a rare appearance at the team's facility on Wednesday, attending meetings and providing a morale boost while sidelined with blood clots in his lungs. Hurts is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season while taking blood-thinning medication. Head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed he remains in constant communication with the quarterback during his recovery.
Hurts was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli following an initial calf clot discovered prior to Week 5. The NFL found that the Eagles complied with all handling protocols. With the team sitting at 2-6 after six consecutive losses, backup quarterback Joe Milton III is scheduled to make his first career start this Sunday against the Giants.
