The Buffalo Sabres have some players close to returning from injuries and that means a few should be worried about their spot in the lineup.

Sabre Noise argues that four Buffalo Sabres players could soon lose their lineup spots as injured players prepare to return. Following a 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators, head coach Lindy Ruff faces roster decisions with Jiri Kulich, Conor Timmins, and Alex Lyon nearing returns. Writer Brandon Croce identifies Josh Norris, Ryan McLeod, Louis Crevier, and Zach Metsa as players currently under pressure to maintain their roles.
Croce emphasizes that Norris has registered just three points through 15 games while carrying a $7.95 million annual cap hit. McLeod has similarly struggled offensively and on the penalty kill after consecutive 50-point campaigns. Additionally, defensemen Crevier and Metsa are reportedly competing against one another for playing time once Timmins makes his regular season debut.
