2027 South Side Sox Top Prospect No. 94: Luis Reyes

South Side Sox ranked right-handed pitcher Luis Reyes at No. 94 in their 2027 Chicago White Sox top prospect rankings. The 21-year-old pitcher missed the entirety of the 2026 season following surgery in March to repair a lat injury suffered during Spring Training. Signed for $700,000 in January 2023, Reyes had previously ranked No. 63 in the system's 2026 prospect rankings.

During his 2025 campaign with the Low-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, Reyes recorded a 4-9 record with a 4.34 ERA and 88 strikeouts across 23 starts. His season included winning MiLB Pitcher of the Month honors in June, when he posted a 0.36 ERA over 25 innings. Melissa Sage-Bollenbach notes that Reyes will likely begin 2027 in the Arizona Complex League to rebuild workload and continue developing his mid-rotation starter upside.
