The Oklahoma City Thunder have rattled off a pair of encouraging wins, and Kenrich Williams has played a major part.

Writer G.C. Bellchamber argues that the Oklahoma City Thunder's offseason decision to re-sign Kenrich Williams is yielding significant dividends amid major roster injuries. Following long-term injuries to Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, and Chet Holmgren, Kenrich Williams moved into the starting lineup for five consecutive games to provide wing defense and reliable outside shooting.
During Oklahoma City's recent back-to-back victories against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Williams averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and shot 5-of-9 from three-point range. Bellchamber concludes that Williams' physical defense and perimeter play are allowing him to substantially outplay his $5 million contract for the 2026-27 season.
