Luka Doncic expressed that being compared to Kobe Bryant is "a lot of honor" after joining the late legend and Elgin Baylor in Los Angeles Lakers history. Doncic became only the third player in franchise history to record 35 or more points in six consecutive games following a 40-point outing in a 116-103 victory against the Sacramento Kings.
ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins also recently likened Doncic's court attitude and shot-making fearlessness to Bryant. Leading the NBA with 38.5 points per game, Doncic has propelled the Lakers to a 7-2 record and emerged as a frontrunner in early MVP award trackers.
