The Detroit Tigers have finalized manager A.J. Hinch's coaching and medical staff for the upcoming season, highlighted by the addition of longtime Major League catcher Martín Maldonado as Major League quality coach. Maldonado, who previously played under Hinch with the Houston Astros, joins Detroit after retiring as an active player following the 2025 season and the subsequent World Baseball Classic. Former Boston Red Sox coach Kyle Hudson has also joined the staff as first-base and baserunning coach, replacing Anthony Sanders.

Additional staff adjustments include Ryan Sienko expanding his responsibilities as catching coach to also serve as bullpen coach following the departure of Juan Nieves. Off the field, the Tigers appointed former Toronto Blue Jays staffer Scott Peters as medical director and brought in Jeremiah Randall as head athletic trainer and head physical therapist. Jay Sartori has also officially returned to the organization as vice president of baseball operations after a brief stint with the Atlantic Coast Conference.
