The Westchester Knicks open their 2026-27 NBA G League season against the Maine Celtics in the Tip-Off Tournament at the Portland Expo. The roster features three two-way contract players—Dalton Knecht, Tyler Nickel, and Jaden Akins—alongside returning prospect Dink Pate and several developmental hopefuls.
Knecht arrived via a two-way deal after being waived by the Lakers, while 2026 draft pick Nickel and former Michigan State guard Akins round out the two-way spots. Writer Russell Richardson notes Westchester offers crucial developmental reps for players aiming to secure spots with the New York Knicks.
