Jalen Brunson and Mariska Hargitay make each other’s dreams come true far from the Knicks court

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson made his scripted acting debut alongside Mariska Hargitay on Law & Order: SVU. In the episode titled "Forsaken," Brunson appeared as Detective Jay Madison, sharing a roughly one-minute scene with Hargitay's character, Captain Olivia Benson, in which his character receives congratulations on a promotion.

Brunson grew up watching the series and considers it part of his pregame routine, while Hargitay is a devoted Knicks fan who supported the team through their championship run. Brunson's father, Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson, also made a brief cameo during the cafe scene.
