Isaiah Stewart revealed he initially expected to be traded to the Washington Wizards or Los Angeles Lakers before landing with the Memphis Grizzlies. In an interview with Marc Spears of Andscape, the veteran center explained his agent believed a move to Washington or Los Angeles was likely before Detroit Pistons executive Trajan Langdon accepted an offer from Memphis.
Now in his seventh NBA season, Stewart has helped the Grizzlies achieve a 6-2 record. Through eight games, he is averaging 11.9 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 66.7% from the field.
