Arsenal lead all clubs with five players selected in Thomas Tuchel's latest England squad, more than the rest of the traditional Big Six combined. Declan Rice, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ben White, Ezri Konsa, and Eberechi Eze were all included in the senior setup, while Everton sit closest with three call-ups. Bukayo Saka missed out due to a quad injury, and Noni Madueke was omitted despite being close to selection.

Arteta referenced former manager Arsene Wenger's similar British core initiative from 2012.
