The Utah Jazz's defense has been lousy this season. While that's not very surprising, getting Kris Dunn back could help with that. It's not just what he does, but he is familiar with the team.

The J-Notes writer Matt John argues that the Utah Jazz should pursue a trade reunion with Los Angeles Clippers guard Kris Dunn to boost their struggling defense. The Jazz currently rank 24th in defensive rating and 29th in offensive rating. John highlights that Dunn's strong point-of-attack defense, including 43 deflections early in the season, would provide a major defensive upgrade.
John suggests a potential trade could involve sending young guard Isaiah Collier to Los Angeles, noting that Utah recently declined the final year of Collier's rookie contract. Dunn is currently playing on an expiring $5.7 million contract, which could make him an accessible target if the struggling Clippers decide to pivot their roster.
