Raiders Week 9: 49ers explosive offense, stingy defense are imposing

The Las Vegas Raiders face a difficult Week 9 matchup against the 6-1 San Francisco 49ers, who feature top-10 units on both sides of the ball. San Francisco boasts the fourth-best scoring offense and the sixth-best scoring defense in the NFL, presenting a major challenge for Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Leonard and offensive play caller Klint Kubiak.

To counter San Francisco's offense led by quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end George Kittle, and running back Christian McCaffrey, Las Vegas must improve upon ranking near the bottom in points and yards allowed. Meanwhile, the Raiders' pass-heavy offense led by Kirk Cousins faces a 49ers defense overseen by coordinator Raheem Morris that ranks fifth against the run.
