Joel Embiid is one of the greatest centers to ever step onto an NBA court. The version of Embiid that the Philadelphia 76ers are getting this season, though, is just a shell of his former self. Embiid is so good…

Billy Heyen of Heavy argues that Joel Embiid's struggles have become a concerning issue for the Philadelphia 76ers following a difficult performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Embiid failed to make a single field goal during the defeat, finishing 0-for-9 from the floor and 0-for-2 from three-point range. He totaled six points, all from the free-throw line, alongside seven rebounds, two blocks, and an assist in 25 minutes of action.
Heyen asserts that Embiid has become a shell of his former self by shifting away from attacking the basket in favor of settling for jump shots. The writer notes that Philadelphia preferred playing Jabari Walker down the stretch, concluding that the 76ers face a difficult season if Embiid continues to rely on lower-percentage looks while past his prime.
