The Atlanta Brages might actually let Jurickson Profar return to the team next season, and that is objectively insane.

Beat writer Jesus Cano of The Athletic reported that he expects the Atlanta Braves to welcome Jurickson Profar back for the 2027 season. The switch-hitter faced widespread speculation regarding his release after receiving a second suspension for performance-enhancing drugs. Cano noted that a productive Profar could fill lineup vacancies in left field created by departing free agents Lane Thomas and Dom Smith.
Writer Eric Cole argues that retaining Profar would be a serious mistake for the Braves, regardless of his on-field ability. Cole highlights concerns over clubhouse credibility and the risk of another suspension, while acknowledging that Atlanta faces a difficult financial decision regarding the $15 million owed to Profar next season.
