Max Clark received high praise from an MLB.com expert ahead of his sophomore season.

Motor City Bengals argues that strong evaluations of rookie outfielder Max Clark give the Detroit Tigers an incentive to prioritize his long-term future this offseason. Clark debuted on July 31 and appeared in 51 games, finishing his shortened rookie campaign with a .272 batting average, a .767 OPS, three home runs, and 23 RBIs.
MLB.com prospect analyst Jim Callis recently ranked Clark fourth among 2026 rookies based on long-term value, noting his high ceiling. Writer Katrina Stebbins suggests the Tigers should begin laying the groundwork for a long-term contract extension to keep Clark alongside Kevin McGonigle atop the lineup.
