The Story in 60 Seconds

Detroit Red Wings interim GM Shawn Horcoff and the organization are urging center Dylan Larkin to expand his 10-team trade list as negotiations stall, according to Pierre LeBrun. Larkin is currently suspended without pay after refusing to play until he is traded, forfeiting over $41,000 daily. His agent, Pat Brisson, has refused to expand the list further, asserting that Detroit has enough viable suitors among his approved destinations.

Larkin previously broadened his initial four-team list to 10 clubs, including Florida, Dallas, Minnesota, and Vegas, but Detroit believes stronger returns exist with outside franchises like Boston, Montreal, Buffalo, and Los Angeles. Larkin has five seasons remaining on his eight-year, $8.7 million annual contract with a no-trade clause, while Detroit remains last in the Atlantic Division.
