Trae Young has faced his former team, the Atlanta Hawks, for the first time since joining the Washington Wizards.

Trae Young played his first game in Atlanta as a member of the Washington Wizards on Friday night, falling to his former team 139-132. The point guard shared an embrace with Atlanta Hawks head coach Quin Snyder before tipoff. Young finished the contest with 23 points, 10 assists, and eight turnovers as the Hawks completed a sweep of their home-and-home series against the Wizards.
Young spent seven-plus seasons in Atlanta, earning four All-Star selections before being traded to Washington in January for Corey Kispert and CJ McCollum. Prior to Friday's matchup, Wizards head coach Brian Keefe commended Young for his leadership and unselfishness as he entered the night leading the league with 9.3 assists per game.
