The Story in 60 Seconds

The Los Angeles Chargers listed tight end David Njoku and linebacker Denzel Perryman as doubtful for their Week 9 game against the Houston Texans. Despite opening their 21-day practice windows earlier in the week, both players are expected to remain sidelined along with guard Kayode Awosika and wide receiver Brenen Thompson.

Injuries continue to test the team as safety Kendall Williamson is ruled out with a calf issue and cornerback Deane Leonard remains in concussion protocol. The secondary receives a boost, however, with cornerbacks Donte Jackson and Rodney Shelley returning and being cleared from the injury report.
