The Story in 60 Seconds

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Kirill Marchenko is expected to be sidelined for approximately two more weeks, according to NHL insider Darren Dreger. Marchenko was labeled week-to-week on Oct. 28 following an awkward hit sustained against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 26, and he has yet to resume skating at the Ford Performance Centre.

Dreger reported the updated timeline on TSN's First Up, suggesting Marchenko could potentially target a return during Toronto's late November home stretch against the Los Angeles Kings or Columbus Blue Jackets. While John Tavares is expected to return Saturday, head coach Jim Hiller will remain without Marchenko through Toronto's current homestand.
