The Wolf Pack put forth a strong late push, but they couldn't find the equalizer in upstate New York.

The Hartford Wolf Pack suffered a 4-2 defeat against the Rochester Americans on Friday night during their eight-game road trip. Rochester built a commanding 3-0 lead through goals from Caleb Jones, Matthew Peca, and Aidan McDonough, while former Hartford netminder Talyn Boyko held the Wolf Pack scoreless through two periods.
Hartford rallied late in the third period with goals from rookie Liam Greentree and Lucas Vanroboys to cut the deficit to one. However, the Wolf Pack could not find an equalizer, and Trevor Kuntar sealed the 4-2 victory for Rochester with an empty-net goal.
