Raiders star Hudson Young has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the PNG Chiefs.
Canberra Raiders forward Hudson Young has reportedly agreed to a permanent two-year deal with incoming NRL franchise the PNG Chiefs. The agreement follows Young's tour of the Chiefs' facilities, where he met with coach Willie Peters and general manager Michael Chammas. An official announcement is reportedly expected next week.
The Chiefs must allocate $1 million per season under their salary cap for Young, following Canberra's earlier withdrawn $4.4 million offer. Raiders coach Ricky Stuart is reportedly open to Young departing immediately for 2027, though Young plans to complete his contract in Canberra before joining PNG for their 2028 entry.
