The Chicago Bears are reportedly hosting free-agent defensive tackle Jordan Elliott for a workout next week. This potential addition follows Chicago's recent blockbuster trade with the Tennessee Titans for All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. Elliott was released by Tennessee in October after an internal investigation into an incident involving a firearm and teammate JC Latham.
Despite Elliott's release, Titans head coach Robert Saleh publicly advocated for him to receive another NFL opportunity. The Bears are seeking interior depth after placing veteran Kentavius Street on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury, while connections between general managers Ryan Poles and Mike Borgonzi help facilitate discussions.
