LeBron James was held to single-digit points for only the 10th time in 1,630 NBA regular-season games as his Philadelphia 76ers were beaten on his return to face his former team the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron James was held to just eight points as the Philadelphia 76ers suffered a 119-95 defeat against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in an NBA Cup group stage game. It marked only the 10th time in 1,630 regular-season appearances that the 41-year-old failed to score double digits. James shot 3 of 12 from the field and committed six turnovers in 31 minutes during his return to Cleveland.
James received boos from the Cavaliers crowd during the first half and was not given a video tribute. The defeat dropped the Eastern Conference-leading 76ers to an 8-2 record, while head coach Nick Nurse acknowledged Philadelphia looked lacklustre against a sharp Cleveland side.
