Chris Sutton has been discussing the performance of Jordan Lotomba during Celtic's Europa League clash with Besiktas.

Pundit Chris Sutton expressed sympathy for Celtic right-back Jordan Lotomba after the defender conceded a penalty during his first start against Besiktas. Writing in his Daily Record column, Sutton argued it was unfair to criticize Lotomba heavily, noting the player lacked match sharpness and faced a challenging opponent in Leandro Trossard after joining Celtic late in the transfer window.
The Celtic Bhoys agreed that Lotomba's performance was not disastrous despite the mistake, pointing out that Celtic went on to win the Europa League match under manager Martin O'Neill. While Alistair Johnston and Colby Donovan remain higher in the pecking order, the outlet suggested Lotomba could still prove useful once fully fit.
