The Cleveland Guardians’ farm system has produced an impressive wave of young talent over the past couple of years with Parker Messick, Chase DeLauter, Travis Bazzana, and others all surfacing at the big-league level. The Guardians couldn’t have made it…

The Cleveland Guardians are reportedly favored to sign international shortstop prospect John Cruz out of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Cruz, who trains at the Rivas Y Ventura Academy, is scheduled to become eligible to sign during the international signing period starting January 15, 2027.
Justin Hussong notes that Cruz displays a strong, compact right-handed swing that could help replenish farm system depth. While Travis Bazzana is projected to solidify second base, the Guardians have ongoing questions at shortstop despite Brayan Rocchio's solid 2026 campaign.
