Colorado Avalanche forward Zachary L'Heureux is expected to be sidelined for a significant period following an upper-body injury. Head coach Jared Bednar confirmed the injury is long-term, noting that the team does not currently have an established timeline for his return. L'Heureux has not played since October 10 against the Toronto Maple Leafs and has yet to resume skating.
The 23-year-old was placed on long-term injured reserve on October 23, retroactive to October 10. Acquired alongside Fedor Svechkov from the Nashville Predators on June 24, L'Heureux has registered one assist and a fighting major in three appearances for Colorado this season.
