Retired quarterback Derek Carr has laughed off rumors suggesting he is set to return to the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings. After reports claimed Carr had worked out for the Vikings ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, Carr jokingly clarified that his only workout took place at a football facility in Bakersfield, California.
Speculation intensified after Vikings starter Kyler Murray was sidelined by a hamstring injury, thrusting Carson Wentz into the starting role under head coach Kevin O'Connell. Carr officially retired last year after 11 seasons in the league, leaving Minnesota to evaluate other quarterback alternatives.
