Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid addressed his shooting slump following an inefficient performance on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Embiid went 0-for-9 from the field and scored all six of his points from the free-throw line across 25 minutes of action. Following the game, he openly attributed his shooting difficulties to altered jumping and landing mechanics as he adapts to his physical condition following multiple knee surgeries.
Embiid noted that a strict workload management plan has significantly reduced his daily practice repetitions compared to past seasons, impacting his rhythm. Through his first eight appearances in the Sixers' opening 10 games, Embiid has converted 38.1% of his field-goal attempts and made three of 28 three-pointers, marking a career-low pace.
