Young French forward could be set for a significant spell on the sidelines…
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi fears forward Mathys Tel has sustained a "bad injury" following Spurs' 1-0 defeat to Leeds. Tel was caught on his left Achilles by a studs-up challenge from Jayden Bogle just before half-time. Although Tel initially tried to play on, he was substituted for Dominic Solanke and later left Elland Road on crutches wearing a protective boot.
Following a four-minute VAR review, referee John Brooks was not sent to the monitor, allowing Bogle to avoid punishment. De Zerbi confirmed Tel faces upcoming medical checks to determine the extent of the damage, while maintaining he retains full confidence in match officials despite the non-call.
