An AL scout refused to buy into concerns over Zyhir Hope's conditioning despite earlier yellow flags.

Motor City Bengals writer Katrina Stebbins argues that downplayed conditioning concerns regarding Detroit Tigers prospect Zyhir Hope are positive news. After Keith Law of The Athletic criticized Hope's physical conditioning in September, an American League scout pushed back via reporter Emily Waldon, projecting Hope as an everyday corner outfielder with power and athleticism who can mature with proper nutrition and maintenance.
Hope arrived in Detroit alongside River Ryan in a trade that sent Tarik Skubal to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Following a strong September and a .405 on-base percentage in the Arizona Fall League, Stebbins suggests Hope could advance quickly toward Detroit's outfield plans.
