Scoot Henderson hasn't stepped up as a playmaker for the Blazers in the starting lineup since Ja Morant's injury.

Reese Kunz of Rip City Project argues that Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson is struggling to handle an expanded role amid team injuries. Following Portland's 124-118 NBA Cup loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Kunz criticized Henderson's offensive performance after he recorded two points, two rebounds, and five turnovers in 23 minutes of action.
Kunz notes that Henderson is averaging just 7.9 points while shooting 31.7 percent through eight games this season. With Ja Morant and Shaedon Sharpe sidelined, Kunz asserts that Henderson has failed to adequately provide playmaking or floor spacing alongside Deni Avdija, intensifying concerns over his long-term consistency.
