Mahamadou Nagida of Rennes has emerged as a serious left-back target for Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.

Manchester United has added Rennes left-back Mahamadou Nagida to its transfer shortlist as a serious option ahead of the January transfer window. The club is reportedly looking to sign two new left-backs across the next two windows to address ongoing injury issues with Luke Shaw. Club officials Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell have overseen intensive scouting of the 21-year-old Cameroon international.
United scouts have monitored Nagida several times over the past six weeks, including during Rennes' European matches against Juventus and Olympiacos. The Peoples Person notes that the energetic defender would likely be a more affordable permanent target than other alternatives.
