Deni Avdija's turnovers remain a problem as the go-to option for the Portland Trail Blazers' offense.

Reese Kunz of Rip City Project writes that excessive turnovers remain the primary issue holding Deni Avdija back as the Portland Trail Blazers' point forward. In Portland's 124-118 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Avdija posted 22 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds, but recorded a season-high eight of the team's 24 turnovers while facing a 53-point performance from Luka Doncic.
With Ja Morant sidelined by injury, the writer argues that Portland must continue trusting Avdija as their primary initiator under head coach Micah Nori. However, Kunz stresses that Avdija must significantly improve his decision-making and ball security for Portland to become a legitimate playoff contender, particularly with challenging matchups ahead against the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
