The WRU are exploring the possibility of entering two Welsh clubs into the English PREM…

Rugby Football Union chief Bill Sweeney confirmed that the Welsh Rugby Union has approached English rugby bosses about Welsh clubs joining the Premiership. Sweeney stated on the BBC's Rugby Union Weekly podcast that officials are evaluating the proposal, though the primary focus remains on expanding within England, noting potential complexities and legal obligations.
Premiership Rugby plans to expand from 10 to 12 clubs initially, with tender processes expected before year-end. However, the United Rugby Championship has reportedly threatened the WRU with legal action regarding contractual commitments requiring Wales to supply four teams to the competition.
