Bruno Guimaraes revealed that Arsenal's motivation in their 1-0 win against Hull City stemmed from a desire to avoid another disappointing result before the international break. The Gunners had suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Brighton prior to the previous break, which remained fresh in the squad's memory.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Guimaraes explained that the dressing room message was to enter the international break in a positive mood. Despite Hull City making the match difficult, Mikel Arteta's side secured all three points to maintain their momentum.
