Broncos started handed NFL punishment and bad injury news at same time.

Denver Broncos starting defensive end Eyioma Uwazurike experienced double setbacks on Saturday, landing on injured reserve with a shoulder injury and receiving an NFL fine. The league's Gameday Accountability Committee fined Uwazurike $6,366 for a facemask infraction committed during Denver's Week 8 win against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Uwazurike had emerged as a key surprise starter for Denver in 2026, starting seven of the team's first eight games. His expanded role followed the free-agent departure of John Franklin-Myers to the Tennessee Titans.
