The Denver Broncos have signed veteran safety Taylor Rapp to their practice squad and elevated him along with running back Cody Schrader for Sunday's matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Rapp was released on Friday in a procedural transaction before re-signing. With Brandon Jones ruled out and Talanoa Hufanga listed as questionable, Rapp is expected to provide key secondary depth and could potentially start the contest.
Schrader receives his second elevation to serve as Denver's third running back behind JK Dobbins and Jonah Coleman. In additional roster moves, the Broncos activated wide receiver Pat Bryant from injured reserve, placed defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike on injured reserve, and signed cornerback Sam Fresch Jr. to the active roster.
