Taiwan's Fubon Guardians are expected to post 25-year-old right-handed reliever Jyun-Yue Tseng for Major League Baseball clubs, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. Tseng's negotiating window is scheduled to begin immediately, opening the door for MLB teams to pursue a permanent transfer agreement with the CPBL club under the posting system.
Over six seasons in the CPBL, Tseng has compiled a 2.36 ERA with 91 saves across 287 relief appearances. While his fastball previously reached 99 mph, he has sat more in the mid-90s following a past shoulder injury. If Tseng does not sign with an MLB franchise, he could also consider options in Japan's NPB.
