Nashville SC dethrones Messi’s Miami with best-ever MLS regular season

Nashville SC set the MLS single-season points record on Saturday, November 7, 2026, finishing the regular season with 77 points. The club secured the historic milestone and the top overall seed following a 2-0 Decision Day victory against FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi and Inter Miami settled for second place in the Eastern Conference after surrendering a three-goal halftime lead in a 3-3 draw against Charlotte FC. Despite the dropped points, Messi finished the campaign with 26 goals to capture the 2026 MLS Golden Boot.
