The Golden State Warriors rookie continues his torrid pace to begin his first season in the NBA.
Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg has backed up his recent criticism of Luka Doncic by emerging as the favorite for the NBA Rookie of the Year award. Lendeborg previously made headlines by publicly calling out Doncic and criticizing NBA players for constantly complaining to referees to draw fouls.
On the court, Lendeborg has powered Golden State to a seven-game winning streak, recently recording 23 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks in an overtime victory against the Orlando Magic. The former Michigan standout is currently averaging 21.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, overtaking Cameron Boozer as the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year.
