Nottingham Forest claimed their first home victory of the season as they toppled Manchester City 3-1 at the City Ground…

Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner praised club captain Ryan Yates for delivering an inspirational pre-match speech that helped spark a 3-1 victory against Manchester City. Making his first start of the season at the City Ground, Yates led Forest to end a five-match winless streak. Glasner noted that in his career spanning over 1,000 matches as a player and manager, he had never heard such an inspiring address to a squad.
Forest took the lead through Jair Cunha before Liam Delap secured a brace, scoring either side of a goal from Manchester City's Rayan Cherki. The result marked Forest's first home win since April and lifted them out of the Premier League relegation zone. The match also saw club owner Evangelos Marinakis attend his first fixture of the season.
