Cousins is seizing his opportunity on the Senators’ top line

Ottawa Senators forward Nick Cousins has taken advantage of a promotion by head coach Travis Green to play on the top line alongside Tim Stützle and Fabian Zetterlund. In a recent 4-2 victory over the Utah Mammoth, Cousins recorded five hits, blocked two shots, and scored the game-winning goal by deflecting a shot from defenseman Thomas Chabot.

Writer Alicia Racine notes that while Cousins brings a physical, gritty presence that complements his skilled linemates, the veteran bottom-six forward's limited offensive production likely means this top-line deployment is not sustainable long-term.
