Jack Grealish is not the only player whose Everton future is in doubt ahead of the January transfer window.

Football FanCast writer Dan Emery argues that Everton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz looks finished at the club alongside winger Jack Grealish under manager David Moyes. Grealish has recently missed three matches following a breach of club discipline, while Alcaraz has struggled severely for playing time this season after joining permanently from Flamengo for £13m in the summer of 2025.
Emery suggests Everton should consider moving on both players during the upcoming January transfer window. Alcaraz has managed just 33 minutes across five Premier League substitute appearances this campaign, and Emery contends that offloading the 23-year-old would benefit both the club and the player.
