Rangers secured a 2-0 away victory against St Mirren to move within one point of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic. Ryan Naderi opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 18th minute after Samuel Ramos was judged to have fouled James Penrice. Dan Neil later doubled the advantage with a deflected strike on the counterattack to seal the win.
St Mirren contested the penalty decision, while Rangers goalkeeper Ivor Pandur preserved the clean sheet with key saves against substitutes Eseosa Sule and Luke Thomas. The result extended Derek McInnes' side's unbeaten run to 12 matches across all competitions heading into the international break.
